According to Sheeba Chadha, her upcoming series Bakaiti feels like "a warm hug". Shooting for the family comedy's second season along with Rajesh Tailang, after the duo shot for the gritty Mirzapur: The Movie, was a welcome change of pace for the actors. As the series - which revolves around a joint family's joys and squabbles - lines up for release on Zee 5, Chadha and Tailang are hopeful that the audience will enjoy its simplicity.
Chadha said, "At a time when so much of what we watch is intense or emotionally heavy, there's something comforting about a story that makes you smile, laugh, and feel at home. That's exactly what Bakaiti does."
Tailang, who reprises his role as the family's patriarch, said that the second season drew him in with its family values. "Bakaiti reminds us of the beauty, chaos, and comfort of family. The second season takes that warmth forward while exploring how relationships evolve when people who love each other are forced to navigate changing dynamics," he shared.
