Injured spotted deer rescued from Mumbai's Kanjurmarg, admitted in SGNP for treatment

A distress call was reported to the Mumbai Range control room of the Thane Territorial Wing of the Maharashtra Forest Department regarding an injured deer in the Kanjurmarg area near the periphery of Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP)

The deer will be rehabilitated at Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

An injured spotted deer was rescued from Kanjurmarg on Sunday evening in a joint operation by the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW) and the Mumbai Range of the Maharashtra Forest Department.

A distress call was reported to the Mumbai Range control room of the Thane Territorial Wing of the Maharashtra Forest Department regarding an injured deer in the Kanjurmarg area near the periphery of Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP).

Team members Joaquim Naik, Aman Singh, Ajay Kanojiya, Rahul Panchal, Atharva Bhosle, and Ritik Jaiswal from RAWW, along with forest officials, safely rescued the deer. The animal was admitted to SGNP for treatment and rehabilitation.
