The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Maharashtra, has launched a special drive to ensure that all eligible voters across the state's Assembly constituencies are included in the electoral roll. Citizens have been urged to check their names in the draft electoral roll and file claims or objections by October 26, 2026.
In a press note issued on October 15, the CEO's office said the initiative aims to ensure that "No eligible voter to be left out of Electoral Roll".
The drive covers all Assembly constituencies in Maharashtra and involves 36 District Election Officers, 288 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 7,100 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and 1,00,253 Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The CEO's office said a proactive campaign would continue to achieve the objective of ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll.
Special camps will be organised at all polling station locations on October 17 and 18, and October 24 and 25, 2026, which fall on Saturdays and Sundays.
Booth Level Officers will be available at the camps to assist citizens with voter enrolment and other electoral roll-related applications.
Citizens can use the following forms to submit applications, claims and objections related to the electoral roll:
Form 6: For new voter enrolment. The CEO's office said voter enrolment is a year-round exercise, and new or left-out voters can apply to have their names included using Form 6 at any time of the year.
Form 7: For objections to the proposed inclusion or deletion of a name in the existing electoral roll.
Form 8: For shifting of residence, correction of entries in the existing electoral roll, replacement of the Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) or marking a person with a disability (PwD).
People with grievances related to the electoral roll or those requiring assistance in filling Form 6 can contact the voter helpline on 1950 during office hours.
They can also approach helpdesks at the offices of the District Election Officer at the district level or the Electoral Registration Officer at the Assembly constituency level.
Details of the helpdesks are available on the Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra website.
The CEO's office has urged citizens to check their names in the draft electoral roll and submit claims or objections before October 26, 2026.
