Central Railway has announced four unreserved special trains between Mumbai, Nagpur and Nashik Road to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the URS festival.
The special services will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, Nagpur and Nashik Road, providing additional travel options for passengers during the festival period.
Central Railway will operate two special services between CSMT Mumbai and Nagpur.
Train No. 01021 will leave CSMT Mumbai at 12.30 am on July 11, 2026 and reach Nagpur at 3.45 pm on the same day.
The return service, Train No. 01022, will depart from Nagpur at 9.40 pm on July 12, 2026 and arrive at CSMT Mumbai at 1.50 pm on July 13, 2026.
The trains will stop at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtijapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha.
Two additional unreserved special trains will run between Nagpur and Nashik Road.
Train No. 01203 will depart from Nagpur at 6.15 pm on July 12, 2026 and arrive at Nashik Road at 5.30 am on July 13.
Train No. 01204 will leave Nashik Road at 7.50 am on July 13 and reach Nagpur at 8.00 pm the same day.
These services will halt at Ajni, Sevagram, Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Chandur, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon and Manmad.
Both special trains will consist of 18 coaches, including 16 General Second Class coaches and two General Second Class-cum-Guard Brake Vans.
Tickets for the unreserved coaches can be booked through the UTS system by paying the normal fare applicable to superfast Mail and Express trains.
Passengers can also book tickets using the RailOne mobile application.
Central Railway has advised passengers to check detailed timings for all halts through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the Indian Railways enquiry portal before travelling.
The additional services are expected to provide relief to passengers travelling for the URS festival by offering more unreserved seating capacity on busy routes.
