According to the Mumbai civic body, a major leak has been detected in a 1650 mm diameter main water pipeline on Dr E Moses Road near Famous Studios in Mumbai.

The incident was first noticed on the night of May 6, 2026 after a significant burst caused heavy water leakage, it said.

The repair work began immediately at around 10 pm on the same night and has been continuing on a war footing due to the complex nature of the damage, the BMC said.
