Nothing gets better in any relationship if there isn’t an effort made by both people in it to fix things. If you feel something, always say it.

My boyfriend is angry with me because I told him that his friendship with another woman was making me uncomfortable. She has been in his life for a year or two, but they are too close for me to be okay with this. There's nothing going on between them, but it just doesn't sit right with me, and we have had a few arguments about it. He says I am overreacting and wants me to apologise, but I don't think I have done anything wrong. It has been two weeks since our last argument about this and he hasn't called me yet. What should I do? Should I apologise just to keep the peace?
If you haven't done anything wrong, being asked to apologise even if it is to maintain the peace is unfair to you and sets a wrong precedent. If you aren't comfortable with the presence of someone else, you are entitled to feel this way and the onus of resolving this is on your boyfriend. If he isn't acknowledging how you feel, and telling you that you're overreacting, it's a form of gaslighting and it should be called out. Explain why this needs to be resolved and why an apology doesn't make the problem go away. If he keeps dismissing it, he isn't making you a priority and that is a red flag for the future of your relationship with him.

I am a 21-year-old and in my first relationship with a guy my age. We are both happy together, but I feel as if he takes me for granted. He has been with other girls before so I don't know if I am giving this too much importance, but I think he uses that against me, and I can't find a way of explaining this. Will things get better if I spend more time with him?
