Actor-comedian Sunil Grover has once again captured the internet's attention, but this time it has nothing to do with his comic timing or celebrity impressions. The actor is winning hearts for his simplicity after sharing a video of himself sleeping at a Ganga ghat, with fans praising him for staying grounded despite his immense popularity.
On Friday, Sunil took to Instagram and shared a candid video showing him taking a nap under the open sky alongside devotees at a Ganga ghat. The actor was seen resting on a simple bedsheet, seemingly unaware that he was being filmed. He captioned the post, "Taare Zameen Par," while the devotional track Jai Kaal Mahakal played in the background.
Though Sunil did not reveal the exact location, several fans in the comments section identified it as Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. The clip quickly went viral on social media, garnering over 4.7 million views within just 21 hours of being posted.
Fans were quick to react to the actor's simple lifestyle and flooded the comments section with appreciation. One user wrote, "This is why you're so loved," while another commented, "Huge respect, sir." Others described him as a 'down-to-earth artiste' and praised him for remaining connected to ordinary life despite being a celebrated entertainer.
The viral clip is the latest in a series of posts that have showcased Sunil's humble side. Earlier, the actor shared a video of himself washing clothes at a roadside hand pump, which also attracted attention online.
In another clip, Sunil was seen sitting on the ground and making rotis on a traditional chulha. From kneading the dough to roasting the rotis over an open flame, the actor handled every step himself. Sharing the video, he jokingly wrote, "Friends, roti kha lo."
On the work front, Sunil was last seen on The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside Kapil Sharma, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek. He will next be seen in Vvan: Force of the Forest, directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra.
Backed by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, the film also stars Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anup Soni, Durgesh Kumar and Shweta Tiwari. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 28.
