Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves
Marriage rumours of Hollywood's most beloved action star, Keanu Reeves, have been doing the rounds for a while now. However, the latest reports claim that the actor has finally taken the next big step in his personal life. According to reports, Keanu married his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, in a secret ceremony earlier this summer during a private European trip.
According to U.S. outlet Radar Online, a source close to the couple revealed, "Reeves married Alexandra Grant (52) in a private ceremony. The couple had discussed marriage for years and ultimately wanted to have time alone. The wedding took place in Europe early this summer. The ceremony was conducted in a very intimate and quiet manner. Since both value their privacy, this was the perfect choice for them."
Notably, neither Reeves nor Grant has issued an official statement confirming the report. Nevertheless, the news of the alleged wedding has quickly stirred excitement among fans worldwide. Meanwhile, it appears this is merely a rumour. A representative for John Wick has reportedly denied the claims. "It is not true," Keanu Reeves' publicist told E! News. The source also confirmed that "They are not married."
Grant is a celebrated visual artist and writer. She first met Reeves at a party in 2009. Their friendship blossomed into creative collaboration as they co-authored the book Ode to Happiness. Over time, their partnership grew into a romance. The couple went public with their relationship in 2019. Interestingly, it was the first time in two decades that Reeves chose to share his private life with the world.
Their red-carpet appearances made them one of Hollywood's most admired couples. Friends of Reeves describe Grant as a steady presence in the actor's life, calling her his "rock" and crediting her for bringing him peace after difficult times.
For the unversed, the Matrix actor has endured major personal tragedies. In 1999, Reeves and his then-girlfriend, actress Jennifer Syme, lost their baby, which left them devastated. Just two years later, Syme died in a car accident at only 28 years old. Reeves has earlier spoken about the enduring impact of grief, reflecting, "Sorrow and loss never truly disappear." People close to him say Grant helped him heal by providing comfort and stability over the years.
