I was introduced to a girl at a party and fell madly in love because of how funny and interesting she was. We hit it off and I was under the impression that this could go somewhere. We exchanged numbers but, since that evening, I am the only one who has reached out and tried to revive our connection. I have asked her out and she says we will meet soon but doesn't commit to anything definitive. She never calls me and I am starting to feel stupid because I am always the one messaging her. Should I stop and see if she reaches out or assume that this isn't going to turn into a relationship? Should I assume it was just a party, and she didn't feel the same way about me?
If she isn't messaging and this isn't leading to a meeting in real life, you are only setting yourself up for disappointment and the sooner you accept it, the better. It's possible that she just doesn't chat the way you do, but if you have made it clear that you want to get to know her better and there has been no reciprocal interest, that's a message too. Sometimes, people shy away from direct engagement, and this may be her way of avoiding an awkward conversation. You can choose to keep trying, provided you do it with your eyes open and with the understanding that this may not develop further.
I'm not feeling the same about my boyfriend anymore and don't know why this is happening. We have been together for two years and I don't know if I am just jaded or if I don't love him anymore. How do I find out what's going on?
You should be able to talk about this with him because if you can't, that's a sign that you are both dealing with a real problem. It's normal to feel jaded or start taking a partner for granted after a point, but communication and honesty can resolve this.
