Rise in Covid, monkeypox cases led to more hiring in insurance sector in July 2022: Report

According to data from Naukri JobSpeak Index for the month, the sector registered more than 21 per cent growth in hiring activity in July 2022 compared to last year. The data showed that the job market in India continues with its upward trajectory

As the world deals with Covid-19 and Monkepox, it has had a different kind of effect on the insurance sector. Both the viral diseases have led to the boon for job seekers in the industry because a lot more people are looking health and insurance products of different kinds to secure their future. The sector registered more than 21 per cent growth in hiring activity in July 2022 compared to last year, a report showed on Thursday.

Hiring activity growth was also seen in sectors such as oil and gas/power (18 per cent), and IT-software (16 per cent) in July 2022, according to data from Naukri JobSpeak Index for July. The data showed that the job market in India continues with its upward trajectory.
