WHAT's ON found that the new coffee shop at Parvati lacks variety but makes up for it with sasta and tasty Cold Kapi
Cold Coffee Centre takes its name very seriously. In fact, cold coffee is the only beverage that you are likely to find here. Though, it lacks in terms of variety it is already a hit with the young college-going crowd who love to hang around and sip on the refreshing brew.
Range: They offer only three items Cold Coffee, Cold Coffee with Vanilla Ice-cream and Cold Coffee with Chocolate Ice-cream. Neither do they offer any snacks to go with the beverage. But on the plus side, the coffee tastes awesome, costs virtually nothing and the place is neat and clean. Beware of crowded days, though, when you may not get a cosy nook to sit and will have to stand outside and drink.
Cold Coffee with Vanilla and Chocolate Ice-cream
We tried: The Cold Coffee (Rs 10) available here may not look any different from the regular coffee available elsewhere, but the magic lies in its taste. There is a layer of rich, frothy cream at the top and refreshingly sweet cold coffee at the bottom. The yummy Cold Coffee with Vanilla Ice-cream (Rs 15) is topped with chocolate powder and chocolate sauce. Just one spoonful is enough to give you an instant sugar rush. If you are a chocaholic, then the Cold Coffee with Chocolate Ice-cream (Rs 15) is exactly what you need. It actually reminded us of the taste of Coffee-Bite toffees.
Service: The attendants are helpful and prompt with all the orders.
At: Parvati, near Gajanan Maharaj Chowk.
Open from 11 am to 11.30 pm on all days.
Cold Coffee Centre didn't know What's On was there. We review anonymously and pay for our meals.
