Palghar cops book 4 for holding captive, assaulting tribal man in Satara

Palghar Police have taken legal action against four people for allegedly confining and assaulting a tribal man from the area.

Palghar Police have taken legal action against four people for allegedly confining and assaulting a tribal man from the area. According to an official statement, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act of 1976, and the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act at Satara's Koregaon police station.
Krishna Nagde (40), a worker in Satara's sugar sector, is the focus of the case. According to reports, from October 10, 2023, to January 8, workers at many sugar mills were denied additional compensation for their efforts. Some staff left due to a perceived lack of further pay.
